HESTER DENNETT
Each coil-built vessel has been made to articulate a single walk through the Cornish landscape and to celebrate the plants I find. Entangled prickly brambles, budding blackthorn and windswept gorse, to name but a few.
Iām an artist living in Newlyn, drawing upon its rich copper-work history to render many of the plants I come across and use gorse smoked Raku firing techniques to forge an integral link between the vessel, its contents and the process by which it was made.
