HILS TRANTER

Rooted in inner and outer observation, work is an amalgam of responses to emotions, nature, landscape, weather, fleeting moments, pathways, light, shadow and colour.

Artwork is usually mixed media and includes painting, drawing, printing, installation, artist books and textiles. Journalling, mindful mark making and experimental play is key, keeping open to accidentals.

The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity.
