Catherine trained at Falmouth and Winchester School of Art and has maintained her practice in painting , printmaking and recently sculpting for nearly 40 years, exhibiting widely.

Her work explores a fascination with the landscape, its relationship to the constant elemental forces and the necessity for us as humans to maintain our contact with nature. She is a keen sailor and much of her work stems from experiences at sea.
